The bee rally was a cooperation with scientist from Lund and the Nobel committee. The scientist needed help to collect information about bees health because they are dying of diseases. They wanted to know if bees diet during hibernation should be honey or sugar based. To collect data, needed for their research, the scientist asked Swedish schools for help. By dissecting bees and sending in samples of bacteria from the bees honey stomach. Afterwards everyone involved in the project made a poster about what they learned and it was submitted into a competition and the people who made the best poster were invited to the noble prize award ceremony.
The winners of our school were two ninth graders who didn’t win the whole competition, but they went to the finals at the Nobel museum.
