Gladys Hernández Parra, as Coordinator of Life-Link, is pleased to inform you that since March this year, we at Escuela D4, Arica, Chile, are applying the Life-Link ethos, Care for Myself, Care for others and Care for Nature, to the curriculum of all subjects taught at this school.
In December 2025, our school was evaluated by the Chilean Ministry of the Environment. Our school obtained Environmental Certification and received a National Award as a School of Excellence in Environmental Management on April 9th, in a ceremony attended by city officials, representatives from the schools and their principals.
Participating in the ceremony were the school´s principal Ruth Dini Valenzuela, Gladys Hernández, Life-Link coordinator and Patricia Eloy and Ingrid Rojas, the teachers' representative. (See photo)
The tribute and award were presented by Raúl Gil González, the Regional Ministerial Secretary of the Environment.
