Al-Ghadir school
On February 15, 2025, the students of Al-Ghadir School, accompanied by their teacher and the school principal, visited the ornamental plant greenhouse in Khorramshahr. The purpose of this visit was to familiarize students with the process of growing plants, the importance of greenhouses in modern agriculture, and to understand greenhouse equipment and the role of certain plants in purifying the air in homes and workplaces.
Upon entering the greenhouse, the students were warmly welcomed by the greenhouse staff. Initially, they were given explanations about the structure of the greenhouse and how it operates. The students learned about the various types of plants cultivated in the greenhouse, including vegetables and ornamental flowers.
Next, the greenhouse manager explained the stages of planting, irrigation, and caring for the plants, and the students had the opportunity to ask their questions. By observing modern equipment such as drip irrigation systems and artificial lighting, they realized the importance of technology in agriculture.
At the end of the visit, the students had the chance to harvest some of the vegetables and cultivated plants, gaining practical experience in agriculture. This activity increased the students' interest in biological sciences and environmental studies. The visit not only enhanced the students' scientific knowledge but also helped them understand the importance of sustainable agriculture and environmental protection.
Al-Ghadir School, in collaboration with the International Life Link organization, aims to provide students with an engaging and educational experience through practical programs and to hold workshops on plant cultivation.
