To mobilize Swachh Bharat Mission, elementary students of HAPS Hiranagar prepared artifacts using local recycled raw material for storage of waste in the form of Eco friendly dustbins.

UNESCO club of HAPS Hiranagar celebrated ‘World Environment Day’ on 4 June 2019 on the theme of the year: ‘Air pollution’. Vaibhav of class +1 recited a satirical verse during morning assembly whereas Kashvi of class VI highlighted the peril of ‘Air pollution’.
“Tobacco and lung health” was the message disseminated by HAPSian on the eve of World No Tobacco Day on 31st May 2019. The event unfolded with the speeches of Shivam, Shivanjali and Shagun during morning assembly.
On 25th April 2019 HAPS Hiranagar observed World Malaria Day.
HAPS Hiranagar observed ‘World Earth Day’ on 22 April 2019 to raise awareness about the accelerating rate of extinction of species. To mark the event HAPS UNECO Club organized various activities in the campus.
HAPSians observed World Heritage Day an 18th April 2019. To mark the event, a presentation on endangered species and heritage sites was shown to students from classes VIth to Xth, whereas students from classes Ist to Vth were shown videos on national heritage.
HAPS Hiranagar observed the cyber wellness challenge month, from 5 December 2018 to 25 January 2019. The aim of cyber wellness challenge was to develop HAPSians into responsible ICT users who are able to protect themselves from cyber indulgence and have a good netiquettes.
Him Academy Public School
Nature is an eternal blessing for humanity and to foster gratitude and love for it, HAPS organizes various activities throughout multiple sessions. In this context, Him Academy Public school observed World Life Week from 1st October to 8th October. Early morning nature walks and honing understanding of different bird species became daily routine of students. On 6th October, students participated in quiz and poster making competitions on biodiversity organized by the District forest department. Samriti of class +2 bagged 3rd position in Quiz competition whereas Aditya and Garima of class +2 bagged 2nd and 3rd position respectively. In poster making competition Ms. Pooja Sharma TGT Science received appreciation certificate for her contribution. Principal HAPS Ms. Vineeta Gupta congratulated the prize winners.
Birds are indicators of the environment. If they are in trouble, we know we’ll soon be in trouble too. Care for birds is care for nature and life itself. During wild life week 2018 HAPSians got opportunity to tend and nurse an injured bat a mammal of the order of chiroptera. After two days the bird was healed and restored to health by students of HAPS. Students learnt to respect life in its various manifestations. Vice chairperson HAPS Mrs. C.P. Lakhanpal and Principal HAPS Ms. Vineeta Gupta congratulated students on this act of kindness.
